Settings: appearance, texts and screens

Everything about the kiosk, the TV screens and the TV app is on one page, in the portal and in the Barberly business app: Apps→Walk-in queue and kiosk. A live preview on the right follows every change, with tabs for the start screen, contact details, the board, the queue screen, the setup page and the ticket. Changes save automatically. Each section has Reset to defaults.

Appearance#

• Theme: Black, Red, Navy, Sand, or Custom with your own three colours: primary, accent and background.
• Type: four pairs, Bebas and Archivo, Syne and Manrope, Outfit and Figtree, Cormorant and Nunito Sans.
• Side panel: gradient or flat.
• A contrast check warns when a combination will be hard to read.

The kiosk shows your location's photo, or its initials when it has none.

Check-in flow#

• Let clients choose a barber, for both kiosk modes. Off: every client goes to the first available barber, one step less.
• Confirmation stays on screen: 10 to 120 seconds, 45 by default.
• Contact details: Simple form or Recognise returning clients. Mobile and email each required, optional or hidden; the first name is always required.

Ticket#

• Ticket by SMS on or off. The ticket always goes by email when there is an email.
• Updates clients can subscribe to: none, email, SMS or both.

Appointment board#

• Hours ahead, 2 to 8.
• Row height.
• Queue button text.

Device setup#

Choose which of the four screens appear on the staff setup page: the appointment board, the queue screen, check-in with a time and check-in to the queue. A shop that only runs the queue sees only what it uses. The TV app always offers both TV screens.

On-screen texts#

Every client-facing text is editable, per screen: the start screen, services, barbers, time, contact details, confirmation, the ticket page and the queue screen. The default is shown as a placeholder, with a character count.

Language#

One click switches all kiosk texts to that language's defaults. The kiosk's fixed phrases, dates and the staff setup page follow the chosen language. 20 languages are available.
